"The main idea of the drop in center is to prevent isolation, promote recovery, and build skills in areas that can help build skills in the following: reception, cleaning/maintenance, health and fitness, warm line, public speaking, computer use and resume/cover letter writing."

Must be 18 years of age and over and have proof of a mental health diagnosis

"The CAPP program focuses on pregnancy prevention and the promotion of sexual health among adolescents ages 10 to 21, including those pregnant and parenting.  Partnering with local school districts; CAPP Sexual Health Educators are available to meet with adolescents one-on-one to discuss decision making, healthy choices, and complete referrals. Our CAPP educators work closely with LGBTQ+ young people by co-facilitating Gender and Sexuality Alliances in schools and volunteering with community groups."

Community Health Advocates help clients understand, choose, obtain, and use their health care plan to best meet their needs.

"NCPPC Navigators offer help in applying for health insurance on the New York State of Health Marketplace.

Navigators also assist in locating providers and pharmacies that work with insurance plans and offer education on topics such as co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance. "

"As a Cribs for Kids partner, NCPPC is able to provide families in need with a brand new pack-and-play to create a safe sleep environment for their baby. Families also get the opportunity to participate in safe sleep education. "

"Staff will provide assistance in identifying the right car seat for your child’s age and weight as well as teach parents and caregivers how to secure a car seat in a vehicle. Appointments can be made upon request."

NCPPC offers several training and professional development opportunities in support of our mission. Some programs offered include: Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid, Trauma/Adverse Childhood Experiences, Adolescent Sexual Health Education, Safe Zone, Health Literacy, Equity and Inclusion.

In home support for parents from the first trimester of pregnancy until the child reaches school age (5/6 years of age).Supports may include, coaching, referrals, support, advocacy, and education.

Program is free of charge and voluntary.
